Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc in Tampa, FL is seeking a Forklift Operator I responsible for moving material from inventory to production and back, and for maintaining accurate records to support the production schedule.

You will band, wrap and label finished goods, move items between production and storage areas, assist with bottlenecks and material needs, and participate in safety and CI programs while following company policies.

Qualifications

• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed.
• Band, wrap, and label finished goods and move to inventory or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems.
• Maintain organized inventory yard for rough material and finished goods.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety and CI programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
