Job summary

Basalite Building Products, LLC is seeking a forklift loader to support production by preparing pallets, loading dispensers, organizing the yard, and ensuring product quality. The role involves daily safety checks, material tagging, and paperwork verification in a fast-paced plant environment.

The position is full-time with benefits including medical/dental, disability and life insurance, 401(k) and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• On-the-job training experience is required to perform duties.
• Ability to operate a forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and inspect empty pallets for daily production.
• Load and keep pallet magazine dispensers loaded with empty pallets.
• Ensure pallets loaded into dispensers are in good shape.
• Print material tags for daily production.
• Place inventory in the correct place.
• Arrange product in the yard and keep it straight and orderly.
• Check all products for quality issues.
• Organize and move pallets to various yard locations as needed.
• Dump skip buckets of broken or damaged product and waste material at shift end.
• Sweep all areas of the plant at the end of the shift.
• Verify and reconcile paperwork for the dry side counts.
• Perform daily safety inspection of forklifts.
• Maintain and fuel forklift including checking oil and water.
• Maintain clean and orderly areas of work.
• All other duties assigned by the company or its representatives.
• Attend safety meetings and abide by safety rules; report hazardous conditions.
