Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator at our distribution center. You will operate a forklift, load and unload building materials, and ensure accurate inventory and shipping paperwork. A safety-focused team environment and competitive benefits are emphasized.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs., follow directions, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and PTO, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to safely operate forklift and transport materials.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars with minimal damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare distribution and shipping paperwork.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain cleanliness.
