Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. is seeking a dedicated Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our distribution center team. You will operate forklift, load/unload building materials, and prepare shipping paperwork, while maintaining accuracy and safety.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow within a national wholesale distributor of building products.

Qualifications

One year or more forklift/warehouse experience is required.
Ability to safely operate a forklift and follow safety guidelines.
Ability to understand and follow directions and work under pressure.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks.
Ability to read and interpret sales orders, purchase orders and safety materials.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift in accordance with training and safety guidelines.
Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars with minimal damage.
Store and retrieve materials (piece pick and/or bulk).
Prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping of products.
Perform daily equipment inspection and maintenance.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Assist in periodic inventory counts as requested.
