Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Forklift Operator in Wilmington, Illinois.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $18.50 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $27.75 per hour
• Additional Pay: $0.25 pay increase after 90 days and 180 days; $0.50 increase after 1 year; $3.00 per hour productivity bonus on average
• Sign-on bonus: $1000 (half paid at 30 days, other half paid at 90 days)
• Schedule: C Shift Wednesday 11:00 am - 4:45 pm and Thursday - Saturday 5:00 am - 4:30 pm

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One or more years of related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License (certified)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a diverse environment and build professional relationships
• Dependable, punctual, with good attendance
• Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision and high accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Ability to work safely and flexibly across various shifts

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Ensure accuracy in picking, packing, auditing, staging, and loading/unloading trucks
• Handle warehouse paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Perform other duties as assigned
