Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Material Handler / Forklift Operator in Lake City, FL. The role offers a fixed wage of $19.83 per hour and a Monday–Friday schedule in a safety‑driven distribution center.

You will operate forklifts, load/unload materials, prepare shipping paperwork, perform equipment inspections, and keep areas organized. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, life insurance, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• One year or more forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to read and understand sales/purchase orders and safety materials.
• Safe work record with stable work history.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift per safety guidelines and training.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars.
• Store and retrieve materials (piece pick or bulk).
• Prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping of products.
• Perform daily equipment inspection and light maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; assist in inventory counts.
