Job summary

McDaniel Metals, LLC seeks a Material Handler / Forklift Operator to move materials safely across the warehouse and production areas. You will load, unload, and transport items, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely support for production operations.

Must operate forklifts and related equipment safely, follow procedures, and maintain clean, organized work environments. Prior forklift experience and a willingness to obtain certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift operating experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment.
• General warehouse operations and inventory handling understanding.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Load and unload trucks and shipments safely and efficiently.
• Transport materials to designated workstations to support production.
• Maintain accurate inventory movement and documentation requirements.
• Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies or issues to supervision.
• Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for safe and efficient workflow.
• Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all safety guidelines when operating equipment and handling materials.
• Assist with staging materials, packaging, and preparing shipments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety standards.
