Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation, a leading wholesale distributor of building and industrial products in the United States, is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Bellingham, MA. This role offers a fixed wage and a Monday–Friday schedule, with focus on safety and quality service.

You will operate forklifts, handle materials, prepare shipping paperwork, and maintain equipment and the work area. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, life insurance,

Qualifications

One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
Ability to safely operate forklift.
Ability to understand directions.
Ability to work independently at times under pressure.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
Safe work record and stable work history.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.
