Job summary

Gregory Industries in Athens, AL, is seeking a reliable Material Handler to safely operate forklifts and move materials to production lines. This role keeps lines loaded and finished goods staged to meet daily schedules.

Responsibilities include unloading, inspecting and staging raw materials, banding and labeling for customer specs, performing pre-shift checks, following SOPs, and logging data in the computer. Prior forklift experience in a fast-paced setting is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of forklift experience in a fast-paced production setting.
• Ability to input and retrieve information from computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts during routine duties.
• Unload, receive, inspect, and stage raw materials, scrap dunnage, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies.
• Remove finished products from production areas and ensure proper identification, banding, and labeling per customer specs.
• Conduct daily pre-shift inspection of equipment and identify routine maintenance needs.
• Comply with safety practices, policies and procedures as directed.
• Access, input, and retrieve information from the computer.
• Perform housekeeping to prevent trip hazards.
• Follow all SOPs for area of responsibility.
• Use banders, stretch wrappers, and other packaging processes as required.
