Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Material Handler I in Birmingham, AL, to perform shipping, receiving, and storage tasks. You will unload shipments, verify items in the Warehouse Management System, and prepare packing documents. Forklift operation and after-hours driving may be required.

The role emphasizes teamwork, basic math, and following written or verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment. A forklift certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Certified to operate a forklift and valid driver’s license required.
• Certified to handle hazardous material shipments.

Responsibilities

• Unload shipments and direct movement from shipping/receiving to storage/work areas.
• Verify and record shipments in the Warehouse Management System.
• Gather and place items into order picking containers for outbound shipments.
• Prepare packing slips, labels, bills of lading, and related documents.
• Maintain clean, orderly warehouse areas and equipment; replenish stock as needed.
• Operate a forklift and perform after-hours driving as needed.
