Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd Shift at our Reno, NV facility. The role involves operating a forklift to move materials, loading/unloading trailers, and stocking areas. You will support Lean initiatives and maintain organized storage both inside and in the yard.

Expect to work a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM schedule with potential overtime. The hourly rate starts at $22.73 with a $0.50 shift differential, with benefits including health, retirement, parental leave, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position; CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H-1B etc. are not supported.
• No relocation benefit; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Reno, NV.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move raw materials, components, supplies and finished goods.
• Load and unload trailers as required.
• Pick and pull stock for delivery.
• Organize pallet area in the backyard on a regular basis.
• Organize material storage location in backyard and inside the building on a regular basis.
• Complete forklift inspections daily.
• Oversee recycling duties for assigned area (e.g., cardboard bins to baler).
• Track and sustain visual management tools such as layered audits and OEE boards; support LEAN initiatives.
• Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
