Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Forklift Operator/Material Handler to move raw materials and finished goods within our production facility. Day and night shifts available; 36 hours paid for 40, with occasional Sunday work.

If you have at least one year of sit-down forklift experience, basic PC skills, and can communicate effectively in English, join DFA to support safe operations, accurate SAP input, and teamwork aligned with our safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year prior sit-down forklift experience.
• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Experience with double forks is a plus.
• Ability to learn and apply to plant environment.
• Be an effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Operate power industrial trucks (sit-down electric forklifts) to transport raw materials and finished goods.
• Input items into SAP system.
• Maintain accurate production records that are written and computer based.
• Perform minor maintenance repairs and/or sanitation tasks as needed.
• Engage in problem solving to improve safety, quality, yields and productivity.
• Maintain a high level of safety and quality awareness and a strong sense of urgency.
• Be a working part of the team and foster teamwork.
• Adhere to all DFA GMPs and safety, quality, regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the business.

Dairy Farmers of America is looking for highly dependable team players to join our staff as a FORKLIFT OPERATOR/Material Handler at our Mechanicsburg, PA facility. The role of the Forklift Operator is to transport raw materials to where they are stored or needed for use and to transport finished goods to trailers for shipping

Hiring Day Shift and Night Shift Monday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday

Day Shift 06:00AM-6:30PM and Night Shift 6:00PM-06:30AM

All crews in Production are required to work an occasional Sunday - which are preplanned.

Work (3) 12 hours shifts each week and get paid for 40 hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:
