Job summary

Cumberland Dairy, a farmer‑owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America, has immediate openings for Warehouse Forklift Operators. You will operate a forklift, pick, pull, build orders, palletize products, and load/unload outbound orders while maintaining proper storage and rotation.

This role requires forklift certification and the ability to pass tests and pre‑employment screenings. Shifts are 10pm–6:30am, Sundays to Thursdays, in a 35–40°F environment with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum six months forklift experience in a high‑efficiency environment.
• Must have forklift operator's certification.
• Must pass written and driving forklift skills test.
• Must pass pre‑employment screenings (drug, background, criminal).
• Able to work in 35–40°F environment.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and perform picking, pulling, building orders.
• Palletize products, load/unload and stage outbound shipments.
• Maintain storage and rotation of inventory.
• Communicate effectively with team and follow GMP and SOP guidelines.

JOB SUMMARY

Cumberland Dairy has immediate job openings for fast paced and motivated Warehouse Forklift Operators to perform any combination of operating forklift, picking, pulling, and building orders, palletizing products, loading, unloading, and staging upcoming outbound orders, and effectively maintain product storage and rotation. Additionally, Warehouse Forklift Operators are responsible for handling finish product in a safe and efficient manner while communicating effectively with team members as well as following GMP and SOP rules and regulations.

OUR OPERATORS FOR THIS POSITION START AT AN HOURLY RATE OF:

• $20 per hour

SCHEDULE: Five days a week, Sunday through Thursday (8-hour shift)

Third Shift Schedule: 10pm - 6:30am

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum six months experience in operating a forklift in a high efficiency environment
• Must have forklift operator's certification
• Must be able to pass a written and driving forklift skills test
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
• Effective verbal and written communications skills in English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with capabilities to lift up to 80 pounds, and assist others when lifting is necessary
• Must be able to work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
• May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
