Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Forklift Operator for construction-ready environments in Milford, VA. You will operate forklifts under supervision, perform routine maintenance, and move pallets, boxes, and materials to designated areas while following safety policies.

The role emphasizes reading specifications, adjusting operations accordingly, and maintaining orderly work areas. A hydraulic certification is preferred and a flexible schedule may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of related experience in trades.
• Must be able to pass an internal certification program.
• Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements.
• Position forks, lifting platform, or another lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials.
• Hook tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transport load to designated area.
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventory materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance to include recharging batteries, lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Maintain clear and orderly housekeeping in assigned area.
• Other duties as needed.
