Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, seeks a dedicated Equipment and Machine Operator in Virginia to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. You will read specifications, position forks, transport loads, and assist with material handling while maintaining inventory.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to pass internal certification. Physical work includes lifting up to 100 lbs and standing for long periods; a full benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or approved combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass internal certification program.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operator manuals.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work on feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift as directed and without supervision following safety policies.
• Read job specifications to determine adjustments and material requirements.
• Position forks or lifting devices under pallets and transport loads to designated areas.
• Unload and stack materials; maintain inventory on the work floor.
• Perform routine maintenance, recharge batteries, lubricate, and clean equipment.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and assist as needed.
