Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory, production, and finished goods. You will maintain accurate paperwork and production records, and supply materials per production schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: 9th grade or higher; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques.
• Must successfully complete forklift driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Maintain organized inventory yard for raw materials and finished goods.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
