Job summary

UFP Salisbury, LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move materials between inventory and production, maintain paperwork, and supply production with material according to schedule. The role emphasizes accuracy in records and adherence to safety rules.

Successful candidates will have basic education, be at least 18, and complete forklift licensing. Prior forklift experience is preferred but not required, along with familiarity with basic inventory techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations and to inventories.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Maintain organized inventory yard for rough material and finished goods.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and Company policies.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
