Job summary

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. in Tuscumbia, AL is seeking qualified Forklift Operators to join our team. This full-time role drives an industrial forklift to move products, load and stack inventory, and support production operations during a 7am–3pm shift Monday–Friday, with additional hours possible.

Candidates should have forklift experience; a High School diploma or GED is preferred. Lumber experience is a plus.

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood® brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking FORKLIFT OPERATORS for the location in Tuscumbia, AL. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package.

Summary:

Drives industrial forklift truck to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties. Regular shift hours are 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday. Additional hours can be expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed
• Keeps record of inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Must have previous forklift experience
• Lumber experience a plus!
