Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee is seeking a Marina Forklift Operator to safely move boats in the dry storage area and respond to launch requests with a strong service focus. You will perform daily safety checks, assist with repairs and maintenance alongside service staff, and support other marina roles as needed.

The role requires outdoor labor in varying weather, the ability to operate boats and jet skis safely, and forklift certification within the first year.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with valid GA driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to swim and perform occasional heavy lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Outdoor physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Prior marina or forklift experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to operate the POS system.
• Must be able to get in and out of boats and jet skis.
• High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Remove boats from dry storage spaces safely following forklift guidelines.
• Handle customer service and launch requests by handheld radio or telephone with a strong service focus.
• Complete daily task assignments and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with service staff to perform billable repairs and maintenance for member satisfaction.
• Relieve other staff positions as needed, e.g., mechanic, dockhand, shop clerk.
• Perform daily forklift checks and report issues to marina supervisor or manager.
• Operate members’ boats and jet skis safely and control their use.
• Complete forklift certification testing within the first year of employment.
• Operate the marina POS system.

Schedule

Marina operates 7 days a week, Forklift Operators will work approximately 40 hours per week on a schedule set by the Marina Supervisor. Some overtime is expected. Weekend and holiday work is required.
