Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee is seeking a full-time Marina Forklift Operator to move boats and jet skis, process launch requests, and deliver high-quality customer service.

You will work with the service staff on repairs and maintenance with an emphasis on member satisfaction, while adhering to safety policies and operating the POS system. Weekend and holiday shifts are required. Onsite training and certifications will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to swim and perform outdoor physical labor.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid GA driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Experience in marina operations and/or forklift operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move boats and jet skis from/to assigned spaces.
• Receive launch requests and customer service inquiries via handheld radio or phone.
• Support billable repairs and maintenance with focus on member satisfaction.
• Perform daily safety checks on equipment and report issues to supervisor.
• Operate the POS system for marina transactions and bookings.
• Relieve other staff as needed (e.g., mechanic, dockhand, shop clerk).

Job description

• Removes boats from assigned spaces in the dry storage building safely and efficiently, following training guidelines for forklift operation
• Receives customer service and launch requests by handheld radio or telephone and performs tasks promptly with a strong service focus
• Daily task assignments, compliance with safety policies and procedures, and customer service
• Works with service staff to accomplish billable repairs and maintenance with a focus on member satisfaction
• Relieves other staff positions as needed, i.e., mechanic, dockhand, shop clerk
• Ensures that forklifts are maintained by performing daily checks and reporting problems to marina supervisor or manager
• Operates members’ boats and jet skis in a safe and controlled manner
• Must successfully complete the onsite forklift certification testing within first year of employment
• Operating the POS system.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid GA driver’s license and a good driving record
• Must be able to swim, perform occasional heavy lifting up to 75 lbs, and have excellent corrected vision and good balance
• Must be able to perform outdoor physical labor in varying weather conditions
• Previous experience in marina operations and/or forklift operations preferred
• Ability to operate the POS system
• Must be able to get in and out of boats and jet skis freely
• High School degree or GED

Schedule:

Marina operates 7 days a week, Forklift Operators will work approximately 40 hours per week on a schedule set by the Marina Supervisor. Some overtime is expected. Weekend and holiday work is required.
