Job summary

Carmi Wholesale Distributors in Carmi, IL is seeking a safety-minded Inventory Control Associate who will operate forklifts and move, store, and replenish inventory across the warehouse to keep products available where needed.

You will work with warehouse teams, perform counts, resolve discrepancies, and use our warehouse management system to maintain accurate records while following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required.
• Ability to obtain forklift recertification through company training.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Perform inventory replenishment for picking locations.
• Move products to and from reserve storage locations.
• Conduct inventory counts and cycle counts as assigned.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Verify product locations, quantities, and item information.
• Assist with receiving and put-away activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems.
• Identify damaged products and report inventory issues.
• Support warehouse operations during peak periods as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
