Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator to manage inbound and outbound goods, using a forklift and RFGEN for lot tracking. You will rotate stock, report damaged items, and maintain accurate inventory records in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires attention to safety, basic English literacy, and willingness to work with supply chain processes. Experience in shipping/receiving is preferred, with a strong teamwork ethic.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Knowledge of FIFO practices and Julian calendar.
• Preferred experience in shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to receive, transfer, and store product and materials while meeting regulatory guidelines.
• Rotate stock so oldest materials are used first and report damaged cartons or containers.
• Record items added or removed from inventory and use a scan gun/RFGEN for lot tracking.
• Perform minor equipment service and daily safety inspections.
• Keep work area and dock clean and orderly, and consolidate partial pallets as directed.
