Job summary

NFI in California is seeking a Forklift Operator II to safely move and stack merchandise in our warehouse. You will operate multiple forklift types and may assist with order filling while maintaining accuracy and safety.

This role requires at least two years of forklift experience, a valid NFI certification, and attention to detail. The position offers hourly pay around $19 and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years forklift operation experience and/or experience with warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated rack locations.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and transports product to assigned storage locations.
• Pulls, stages, and prepares products for outbound shipment.
• Verifies the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner.
• Moves product from staging or storage areas into trailers for outbound loads.
• Maintains documentation to support inventory accuracy and product security.
• Assists with physical inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management.
• Reports safety concerns or incidents promptly.
