Job summary

Qualifications

• Must know forklift truck dimensions and load capacity
• Ability to judge doorway/aisle clearance for forklift operation
• Knowledge of storage area layout to locate items without instruction
• Skilled at maneuvering forklifts in tight spaces
• Experience operating hoist and clamp trucks
• Ability to operate forklifts in ramps, narrow aisles, and around RR cars/trucks
• Ability to assess load balance and forklift capability

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage
• Supplies Manufacturing Department with materials as needed
• Stages product to be moved or shipped
• Racks unused supplies and maintains inventory of type, amount and location of items
• Transports and processes manufacturing paper by-products
• Performs routine daily inspections on hoist and reports maintenance needs
• May service batteries and lubricate moving parts of forklift
• Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned
