Job summary

Ventura Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator II for our Birmingham, AL facility to perform cross-trained duties across warehousing and production with a strong emphasis on safe lift truck operations.

Responsibilities include staging orders, loading trucks, receiving materials, and supporting production while maintaining inventory accuracy and safety compliance. Prior forklift experience and ability to pass certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate and the experience required to execute the major responsibilities listed above.
• At least 1 year of stand up forklift experience and ability to pass the annual forklift certification.
• Good Math Skills and ability to operate an RF computer, desktop computer and calculator.
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate effectively.
• Safety knowledge requisite to the duties and responsibilities listed above including recognizing and communicating issues.

Responsibilities

• Staging orders and preparing them for loading by loaders.
• Loading trucks for dispatch with proper safety and RF/document procedures.
• Receiving packaging, ingredients, and finished goods with proper storage and documentation.
• Supporting production by moving finished goods to warehouse locations and adhering to temperature controls.
