Job summary

Ventura Foods in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Forklift Operator II to support daily lift truck operations at the manufacturing facility. The role requires cross training across all areas and adherence to safety protocols.

The duties include staging orders, loading trucks, receiving goods, and providing production support while following RF system procedures. Candidates should have at least one year of stand up forklift experience, basic math skills, and the ability to read, write, and communicate

Qualifications

• High School graduate with the experience to execute duties.
• At least one year of stand up forklift experience and ability to pass annual forklift certification.
• Good Math Skills and ability to operate RF system, desktop computer and calculator.
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate effectively; safety knowledge to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Staging orders and preparing them for loading following procedures.
• Loading customer orders onto trucks with proper safety and RF system documentation.
• Receiving packaging, ingredients, and finished goods with proper storage and documentation.
• Production support: moving finished goods to warehouse locations and conducting production reconciliation.
• Troubleshooting inventory issues and performing location adjustments as needed.
• Maintaining warehouse safety, including battery care, pallet handling, and safety inspections.
• Deck supply support: issuing ingredients to decks and returning to warehouse.
• Complying with FSMA requirements.
