Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th-grade basic education.
• HS diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Prefers 6 months to 1 year of forklift experience.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars.
• Moves material and products from storage to work areas and vice versa.
• Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading.
• Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Completes preshift startup equipment checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains yard and keeps area organized and clean.
• Completes paperwork as required.
• Empty trash and wood hoppers.
• Follows forklift rules and policies.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.
