Capital Lumber Company seeks a skilled forklift operator to read orders, pull and stage deliveries, load trailers, and unload shipments in our outdoor warehouse. You will inspect equipment daily and report safety concerns.

Requires 4–8 years forklift experience, current certification, and solid knowledge of lumber products. You must read, write, and speak English, lift up to 75 pounds, and work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years previous experience with forklifts and other machinery.
• Has Forklift Certification.
• Good knowledge of lumber products.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to communicate information for the position.

Responsabilités

• Operate forklift to lift, load, or move material.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair forklift equipment as needed.
• Read hand written or system generated sales orders to determine product and special instructions.
• Accurately pulls delivery orders and stages for loading as directed.
• Loads product on trailers for delivery and unloads products from incoming rail cars or trailers.
• Notify Supervisor of any unsafe vehicle or overload risk.
• Perform daily forklift inspections per OSHA and company standards.
• Assist in moving inventory and keeping lanes clear for traffic.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and adapt to changes.
