Job summary

NFI is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator II to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a warehouse. You will operate multiple forklift types, perform order filling/checking as needed, and ensure safety and accuracy.

The role requires 50%+ forklift operation time as core duty. Responsibilities include unloading shipments, staging for outbound, inventory control, cycle counts, and RF scanning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years forklift operation experience.
• Must pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Possesses basic understanding of equipment safety and adheres to all safety protocols.
• Completes pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated rack locations.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and transports product to assigned storage locations.
• Pulls, stages, and prepares products for outbound shipment.
• Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner.
• Moves product from staging or storage areas into trailers for outbound loads.
• Maintains required documentation and reports to support inventory accuracy and product security.
• Assists with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as directed.
• Ensures inventory rotation in accordance with company standards.
• Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies to the inventory control team and participates in resolution.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management.
• Reports safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to management promptly.
• Demonstrates basic Excel skills and general computer proficiency to complete required tasks.
• Performs other duties as required by the role and management.
