Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move, locate, and count merchandise in our warehouse. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, stack goods, unload shipments, and support inventory accuracy while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, forklift experience, and the ability to complete NFI forklift certification. Strong attention to detail and basic math/customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Preferred 6 months forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment in accordance with customer and operational requirements.
• Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner.
• Maintains required documentation and reports to support inventory accuracy and product security.
• Assists with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as directed.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management.
