Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator II to safely operate multiple types of forklift equipment within a busy Greensboro warehouse, moving, locating, stacking, and counting merchandise while maintaining productivity and accuracy.

Candidates should have at least 2 years forklift experience, be able to pass NFI forklift certification, possess strong attention to detail and basic math, and provide reliable customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Possesses basic understanding of equipment safety and adheres to all safety protocols.
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated rack locations.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and transports product to assigned storage locations.
• Pulls, stages, and prepares products for outbound shipment.
• Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner.
• Moves product from staging or storage areas into trailers for outbound loads.
• Maintains required documentation and reports to support inventory accuracy and product security.
• Assists with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as directed.
• Ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with company standards.
• Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies to the inventory control team and participates in resolution.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management.
• Reports safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to management promptly.
• Demonstrates basic Excel skills and general computer proficiency to complete required tasks.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management.
