Forklift Operator / Team Member

Safely and efficiently operate a motorized forklift to load and unload trucks, pull pallets of finished product from production lines, and place finished product in the warehouse as directed by the onboard WMS system.

Essential Functions
  1. Move levers and press pedals to drive the truck and control the movement of the lifting apparatus.
  2. Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device.
  3. Plan supply and material requirements by studying the production schedule; schedule deliveries to the production area.
  4. Retrieve supplies and materials by studying specifications; locate and verify supplies and materials; secure pallets on trucks; move pallets to production locations.
  5. Maintain inventory in the production area by anticipating and tracking usage; report discrepancies.
  6. Clear the production area by securing and moving finished pallets; move empty pallets.
  7. Document actions by logging movements of supplies, materials, and finished goods.
  8. Maintain a safe work environment by watching for foot traffic; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  9. Keep the forklift operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  10. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  11. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or related field.
  • Proven ability to safely operate a sit-down motorized forklift.
  • Ability to navigate within a WMS system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing people or projects.
