Overview

The Forklift Operator II is responsible for operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator ensures safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may perform order filling or checking duties. This role requires operating multiple types of forklifts within a rack warehouse environment, including sit-down/standup, clamp, cherry, and reach equipment. Certification on at least three types of equipment is required, with at least 50% of work time on these types.

Responsibilities

1. Work shifts: FRI-SUN + 1 FLOAT DAY 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; M-TH 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM
2. Stack and store merchandise using appropriate equipment
3. Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage
4. Pull and prepare products for shipment ensuring accuracy
5. Operate equipment safely following prescribed methods
6. Maintain records for inventory control and security
7. Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts
8. Ensure proper stock rotation
9. Use RF scanning equipment and maintain Excel and computer skills
10. Report safety concerns and inventory discrepancies promptly
11. Complete inspection forms before operating equipment

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma/GED preferred
2. At least 1 year of forklift or warehouse equipment experience
3. Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours and lift 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in variable environments and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
5. Attention to detail, customer service, and basic math skills
