Job Overview

The Forklift Operator II is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility and grounds using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull vending and cold drink equipment to fulfill sales requests
• Secure outbound loads with protective wrapping and attach documentation (STO)
• Load and unload trailers, support delivery activities, and update SAP/CONA systems
• Conduct safety and housekeeping activities, including pre-and post-trip checks
• Assist with staging equipment, yard maintenance, and miscellaneous activities
• Operate switcher to maneuver trailers as needed

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Knowledge of safety principles and proper equipment use
• Advanced forklift skills, especially single-wide forklifts
• Basic pallet-jack skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to operate multiple machinery and follow SOPs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in high/low temperatures and noisy conditions
• Occasional lifting over 25 lbs., rarely over 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Forklift and pallet jack certification
• Switcher operation certification
• Class A CDL if required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in logistics
• Knowledge of truck and trailer loading strategies

Work Environment

High noise, non-temperature-controlled environment including high and low temperatures.
