Overview
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Forklift Operator will operate a forklift to transport product within the warehouse safely and efficiently. This position will also perform receiving and/or shipping functions as assigned by the department supervisor. Additionally, the Forklift Operator will assist with daily cycle counts and yearly physical inventory processes.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Record product transfers within the warehouse and provide real-time updates to the Oracle inventory management system using the radio frequency bar coding system. If the system is unavailable, accurately record products transferred on a Move Ticket and return it to the Warehouse Supervisor for immediate update into the system.
- Operate forklifts safely to prevent damage to products, pallet racks, trucks, forklifts, and other equipment during loading, unloading, transferring, and storing.
- Process all inbound and outbound shipments promptly in accordance with SOPs.
- Perform daily forklift inspections, document findings, and report any issues immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as per schedule, recording counts accurately and reporting variances.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, monitoring for safety issues and reporting hazards or accidents immediately to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to perform responsibilities under general supervision
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English; good oral communication skills
- Effective team player capable of working in a moderately stressful environment
- Adaptability to a rapidly changing warehouse environment
- Neat, organized, alert, and safety-conscious
Experience:
- At least one year of forklift operation and warehousing experience
- Experience with warehouse operations related to product movement, inventory systems, and forklift operation
- Experience with radio frequency barcode scanners
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in warehousing
