Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely move and manage merchandise within the warehouse, performing order picking and packing tasks as needed. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficient operation of equipment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and will obtain NFI forklift certification. Basic Excel and accurate documentation are part of daily duties, with a $500 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift operation experience preferred.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures.
• Completes pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment as required.
• Verifies quantity and product type loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking accurately and timely.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support inventory accuracy.
• Maintains inventory records and supports cycle counts as directed.
