Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator I in Windsor, CO to move material between inventory and production, keeping accurate paperwork and records. You will support production, label and pack goods, maintain clean yards, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.

No heavy experience required; forklift licensing will be provided. The role offers diverse materials handling tasks, team collaboration, and opportunities to advance within a long‑standing, value‑driven

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; forklift driving experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another if necessary.
• Band, wrap and/or pack finished goods, and label material.
• Move finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report any problems or concerns.
• Maintain rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
