A leading company is seeking a Forklift Operator for their Enfield, CT facility. The role involves safely operating forklifts, conducting inventory, and maintaining safety compliance. Candidates should have a high school diploma and forklift experience. Benefits include health insurance and retirement plans.
Safely operate powered industrial trucks to transport materials and products throughout the facility.
Position forks or lifting platforms under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, or materials and transport them to designated areas.
Load and unload materials onto or off pallets and lifting devices.
Use scanners to determine product locations and replenish shelves throughout the facility.
Conduct inventory of materials on the floor and stock shelves as needed.
Weigh and position pallets as required.
Document activities and materials movement per SOP.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and cGMP guidelines.
Willingly cross-train in other job functions and support multiple departments as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be licensed to operate lift equipment (internal or external certification accepted).
Minimum 3 months of high-reach forklift experience; in-house training and certification provided.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in basic English.
Basic math and communication skills.
Willing and able to work overtime as business needs require.
Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Frequent reaching, walking, kneeling, and use of hands and arms.
Must regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 70 lbs with assistance.
Ability to maneuver pallet jacks with loads up to 1,200 lbs.
Good vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Comfortable working in environments where allergens (e.g., peanuts, dairy, gluten) are present.
