Job summary

Carlisle is seeking a Forklift Operator to support material movement, inventory staging, and loading/unloading in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role includes assisting in other plant areas as needed and requires adherence to safety procedures.

The position emphasizes teamwork, reliable attendance, basic math, and good communication to coordinate with production and shipping teams. OT may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections.
• Record maintenance data and quality metrics.
• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift to move materials.
• Visually inspect material for defects and segregate defective product.
• Support production and shipping teams and follow standard works.
• Assist in other plant areas as needed.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Job description

Forklift Operators support the movement of materials and products, including taking part in warehouse organizing and finished goods inspection, taking product off the production line and putting it away in designated locations in the warehouse, loading and unloading customer trucks.

Forklift Operators also fill in for other jobs in plant (e.g., Machine Operator) as business needs dictate. Standard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections on
• Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics, performing mathematical calculations as
• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift to move raw materials or finished products throughout the manufacturing floor, which includes, but is not limited to, keeping production line clear and running and keeping product and raw materials properly stored.
• Visually inspect material for quality defects; Segregate defective product and notify
• Fill dumpsters from production floor; Housekeeping of plant (inside and out).
• Work as a team with production and shipping team to follow all facility Standard Works/processes and improve operations.
• Support the recycling area, when needed, and help to keep it
• Fill in on other areas of the plant (e.g., Machine Operator) as

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Highly motivated with a good, sound work

Required:

Working Conditions:

• Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.
