Job summary

Rich’s, also known as Rich Products Corporation, is a family-owned food company dedicated to inspiring possibilities. The Forklift Operator operates an assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, following GMPs and safety procedures.

The role includes loading/unloading, maintaining clean trailers, and supporting inventory activities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Candidates should have high school diploma and forklift experience, with RF scanning and freezer work preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1–2 years of experience.
  • Standup forklift experience preferred.
  • RF Scanning knowledge.
  • Work in Freezer temperature.
  • Public Safety and Security — knowledge of equipment, policies to promote security.
  • English language — knowledge of English structure and grammar.
  • Customer and Personal Service — knowledge of customer service principles.
  • Production and Processing — knowledge of materials and processes for manufacture and distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains trailer clean and free of contaminants and pest.
  • Provides a communication link between customers and staff.
  • Follow company food safety and security procedures for transporting raw and finished goods.
  • Assists warehouse personnel with the loading and unloading of products and operates forklifts as needed.
  • Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside.
  • Charges the assigned vehicle(s).
  • Participate in company cycle counts and inventory.

Purpose Statement

The Forklift Operator operates anassigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner in addition to following company and warehouse GMP’s.

  • Maintains trailer clean and free of contaminants and pest

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 to 2 years of experience
  • Standup forklift experience preferred
  • RF Scanning knowledge
  • Work in Freezer temperature
  • Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
