Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Springfield, Vermont is seeking a Forklift Operator for our freezer to unload, sort, segregate and put away product, and select frozen items with accuracy. The role may require supporting duties in other areas of the warehouse as needed.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9pm to finish (40 hours weekly) with overtime based on business needs. Compensation ranges from $25 to $28 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 6 month - 1 year warehouse and/or distribution experience operating machinery.
• Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry) and pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial equipment (stand-up/sit-down forklifts, rider pallet trucks, slip sheet) in the warehouse.
• Unload, sort, segregate and put away product in freezer locations; select frozen items.
• Support other duties in the warehouse as needed.

The Forklift Operator for our freezer is responsible for efficiently and accurately unloading product, sorting, segregating and putting away the product into the proper locations within the freezer, as well as selection of frozen product. In addition, the Forklift Operator for our frozen product may also be asked to support these duties in other areas of the warehouse.

Position Responsibilities

• Will operate various kinds of powered industrial equipment which may include stand-up or sit-down fork trucks, rider pallet trucks, slip sheeter, and other equipment found in distribution warehousing.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

6 month - 1year warehouse and or distribution experience operating machine.

Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and

required overtime for the position.

Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.

Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout shift.

Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.

Pass pre-employment drug test.

Compensation

$25 - $28/HRLY, based on experience
