Job description

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. Your duties will include:

• Operating forklift equipment to move materials throughout the facility, including loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to designated areas, and organizing inventory in the warehouse.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures while operating the forklift, conducting pre-operational inspections, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Performing routine inspections of the forklift to ensure proper working condition, reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel, and participating in regular maintenance activities.
• Assisting in maintaining accurate inventory records by documenting material movements, conducting cycle counts, and communicating any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborating with warehouse and production team members to support daily operations, fulfill orders, and meet production deadlines. Communicating effectively with supervisors and coworkers to coordinate tasks and prioritize workload.

• Lower forks to ground level when the forklift is parked to prevent accidents.
• Perform daily inspections of the forklift and actively participate in equipment maintenance tasks.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to avoid endangering personnel or company property.
• Secure the forklift properly before leaving the cab and maintain a production pace to achieve goals efficiently.
• Prohibit unauthorized individuals from riding on the forklift and adhere to lifting and other requirements, including performing repetitive movements and lifting heavy objects.
