Job summary

Americold in Fairmont, MN seeks a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and RF scanners. You will load/unload, store, pick orders, and inspect for damage while labeling and packing as directed.

Qualified candidates may have a GED and at least 3 months of related experience; ability to work overtime, evenings, or weekends is a plus. OSHA safety adherence is essential in the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, label, sort, wrap, pack and repack as directed by management.
• Operate equipment in a manner that promotes safety and comply with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes and may perform other duties outside of normal responsibilities as needed.
