Job summary

Americold in Minnesota is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage and shipment of food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.

You will load and unload freight, stack and store merchandise, check accuracy and labeling, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Overtime, evenings, or weekends may be required to complete tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using proper equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise and pick/assemble orders for shipment.
• Check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation; label, wrap, pack and repack as directed.
• Operate various forklifts and RF scanners safely per OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• May perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes.
