Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Forklift Operator for our Stockton, CA facility. The role involves safe forklift operation, moving bins, and supporting material handling, shipping, receiving, and order pulling. Flexibility for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and extended hours, especially during peak harvest season, is required.

Typical shifts include 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, and 10:00 PM–6:30 AM. Contract position with full onsite work, offering overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Experience with material handling in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, or order pulling setting.
• Ability to safely maneuver forklifts in busy, fast-paced, and confined areas.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to follow standard operating guidelines.
• Ability to work all shifts and up to 7 days per week as needed based on the schedule.
• Willingness and ability to work mandatory overtime, averaging approximately 4855 hours per week during harvest season.
• Reliability and punctuality for assigned shifts based on seniority.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move bins of products throughout the facility.
• Load, unload, transport, and stage materials and products in designated areas.
• Support warehouse operations including material handling, shipping, receiving, and order pulling as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating forklifts and handling materials.
• Inspect forklift and related equipment before use and report any issues or maintenance needs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas in the warehouse and production zones.
• Follow work orders, instructions, and schedules to ensure accurate and timely movement of products.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping timelines.
• Adapt to changing priorities and tasks based on operational needs and harvest season demands.
• Work all assigned shifts and extended hours, including up to 7 days per week as required by the schedule.
