Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Forklift Operator / Material Handler in Torrance, CA. This contract-to-hire role combines forklift operation with light assembly in a clean warehouse environment. Expect to move materials, assist shipping/receiving, and assemble heavy-duty protective cases and lighting products on 2nd or 3rd shift.

Pay is $20/hr with weekly pay and benefits. Candidates must be able to lift 7–35 pounds and follow safety protocols. On-site, fully in Torrance.

Qualifications

• Proven forklift experience in warehouse/manufacturing.
• Experience with stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and inventory control.
• Able to perform accurate data entry.
• Capability to lift 7–35 pounds.
• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to learn new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to move materials.
• Handle shipping, receiving, and inventory control with accurate labeling.
• Use RF scanners for inventory transactions.
• Support shipping/receiving and staging of materials.
• Perform data entry related to inventory and shipping.
• Assemble protective cases and lighting products as directed.
• Add foam inserts and ensure components are fitted.
• Work on flashlight line following instructions and quality standards.
• Use drills, hammers, rivet machines for assembly/packaging.
• Operate shrink wrap machines for packaging.
