Westlake Chemical in Canada is seeking a forklift operator to ensure safe and efficient handling of finished goods within the warehouse. You will perform pre-shift inspections, log forklift keys, and move blue beds to designated storage areas, ensuring crossbars are in place and beds are fault-free.

The role requires adherence to HSE policies, accurate reporting, and teamwork on production lines. It offers a 12-hour continental shift with shift premium and incentives, with a starting rate of CAD

Formación

• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Forklift certification acquired through Company training.
• Manufacturing experience is an asset but not required.
• Demonstrates ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ability to complete reports accurately and legibly.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre-inspection prior to using forklifts at shift start and fill in the pre-inspection checklist.
• Fill in Forklift key in/out log sheet when keys are taken or returned.
• Move finished goods on blue beds from pick & place gantry to warehouse locations.
• Ensure blue beds have two crossbars before moving to warehouse.
• Inspect beds for faults before placing on the transfer conveyor bed.
• Supply production lines with packaging supplies when needed (boxes, skids).
• Follow HSE forklift safety policy and report incidents.
• Inspect and operate glue machine before use, report faults.
• Provide supplies for WIP products and move finished product to designated location.
• Adhere to company policies and keep storage areas organized.
