Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) in Opelika, AL is seeking a forklift operator to safely operate equipment, wrap goods, and maintain orderly stock in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role requires lifting, handling shipments, and supporting shipping/receiving with accuracy and teamwork.

The position offers overtime opportunities and a benefits package. You must be authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain a PCA forklift license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of forklift experience.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Able to obtain PCA forklift license.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
• Keep stock and materials in orderly fashion.
• Document materials unloaded and taken off trucks.
• Assist in production pull, inbound forms, inventory tagging and counts.
• Support other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance workload and maintain cleanliness.
• Follow safety rules and report defects.
• Other duties as assigned.
