Job summary

GLS US is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move and load materials in the warehouse and production areas. The role requires experience with forklift operations, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to follow established procedures.

The successful candidate will work with depot leadership to ensure efficient inbound freight handling, accuracy in pallet management, and collaboration with staff to maintain a smooth operation. Valid certification and HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to weight specified in job posting).
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Depot Manager and Supervisors to coordinate inbound freight handling.
• Supervise leads and warehouse personnel to offload, process, sort, palletize and load goods.
• Inspect pallet quality to reduce damages and miss-routed packages.
• Communicate with managers, leads, and package handlers; coordinate warehouse changes.
• Assist with training new personnel and review procedures with staff.
• Meet GVWR requirements by estimating pallet weights and managing dock door assignments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
