Job summary

GLS is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move, load, and unload materials within a warehouse or production facility. You will work with the Depot Manager and supervisors to ensure inbound freight is offloaded, processed, and loaded on time, while inspecting pallets for quality and safety.

The role requires a valid forklift certification, warehouse experience, and strong attention to detail and teamwork to maintain efficient and safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid forklift operator certification is required.
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift heavy materials safely.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse or production facility.
• Coordinate with Depot Manager, Supervisor, and leads to ensure inbound freight is offloaded, processed, and loaded on time.
• Inspect pallet quality to reduce damages and mis-routed packages.
• Communicate with managers and staff; assist with training and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GVWR requirements and safety standards.
